Terms and Conditions

By creating an account or using the Exchange Year app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Your account

• Give accurate information and keep your sign-in details secure.
• You are responsible for activity on your account.
• Only upload verification documents that belong to you.

Content you share

You keep ownership of the photos and text you post. By posting, you give Exchange Year a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute that content within the service so it can be shown to other users.

You must not post content that:

• is illegal, hateful, harassing, threatening or sexually explicit;
• sexualises or endangers minors in any way;
• infringes someone else's copyright, privacy or other rights;
• shows other people without their permission where permission is required;
• is spam, misleading, or links to malicious sites.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. To report content or a user, email hello@exyexchange.com.

Programs and agencies

Exchange programs listed in the app are run by independent partner agencies. Exchange Year helps you discover and apply to them but is not a party to any agreement between you and an agency, and does not guarantee acceptance, availability or outcomes.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service: no attempts to access other accounts, disrupt the service, scrape data or reverse-engineer the app.

Ending your account

You can stop using Exchange Year at any time and request deletion as described on the Account Deletion page. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the app.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
